SALT LAKE CITY — National fast-food chain Chick-fil-A announced Thursday that it’s rolling out a new seasonal milkshake flavor and you can thank Utah for that.
The Atlanta-based chain plans to launch a new fall spice milkshake nationwide starting Monday, its first new milkshake flavor in four years. It follows the “success” of a limited test in the Salt Lake City area last yearsaid Leslie Neslage, menu and packaging manager at Chick-fil-A.
“We tested the Fall Spice Milkshake last October in Salt Lake City, and received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback that inspired our decision to launch this new milkshake nationwide,” he said. she said in a statement.
Chick-fil-A officials said last year they chose the Salt Lake City area because it’s the biggest consumer of its milkshakes of any city nationwide, buying more than 1.5 million of milkshakes in 2020. That’s why the fast food chain also tested a butterscotch crumble milkshake on the market.
“As the people of Utah’s capital seem to love signature and seasonal milkshake flavors, we know they will take their role as taste testers very seriously,” the company wrote in a press release. Last year.
The new, Utahn-approved milkshake contains cinnamon with crunchy pieces of brown sugar cookies, according to the company. Chick-fil-A also announced that it would bring back its seasonal grilled spicy deluxe sandwich on Monday as well.
Both dishes are set to stay on the menu until November 12, while supplies last.
