The Wall Street Journal ranks San Francisco (SFO) as the top U.S. airport

Annual survey rates for on-time flights, security queues, customer surveys

The Wall Street Journal today named San Francisco International Airport (SFO) the No. 1 major U.S. airport in its annual rankings, made up of several metrics including punctuality, security checkpoint queues and JD Power customer satisfaction scores.

The Wall Street Journal has ranked the 50 largest US airports on nineteen operational metrics, including on-time performance, security checkpoint wait times, ticket prices and the airport satisfaction survey JD Power’s 2022 North American Airports. The airports were then divided into the top 20 and the remaining 30.
